Full Ceramic Bearings are made entirely of ceramic material and are superior to common steel bearings in many ways. Ceramic is the perfect material for any application seeking to achieve higher RPM's, reduce overall weight or for extremely harsh environments where high temperatures and corrosive substances are present. Applications such as cryopumps, medical devices, semiconductors, machine tools, turbine flow meters, food processing equipment, robotics and optics. Ceramic materials commonly used for bearings are Silicon Nitride (Si3N4), Zirconia Oxide (ZrO2), Alumina Oxide (Al2O3) or Silicon Carbide (SiC.)

Hybrid ball bearings combine ceramic rolling elements with superfinished steel rings. This "hybrid" combination provides superior ceramic performance at a cost-effective price. This design also enables ceramic bearings to deliver outstanding service life and operating characteristics at high spindle speeds.
 

The full ball bearings , deep groove ball bearings, angular contact ball bearings, self-aligning ball bearings and angular contact ball bearings can all be made into ceramic bearings.

b.44% larger elastic modulus,which means less deformation under load.

c.Harder with Rockwell hardness as 78.

d.Smaller friction coefficient.

e.Only 1/4 coefficient of thermal expansion of steel ,can endure sharp.

f.Superior surface finish can be achieved,Ra could be 4-6nm.

g.Can endure high temperature with high hardness and strength up to 1050 centigrade.

h.Never rust,and can roll without lurbrication.

i.More corrosion resistant than steel.

j.Free of matel contamination.

k.Non-magnatic and electric isolation.
